This steam beer was my favorite of the four I had on my first visit to SKW, though aside from its topaz color and Northern Brewer hops, it's not very typical for the style. The full body and unfiltered properties are out of place, and the taste is fruitier than one might expect without toasted accents or polish. It's also more potent and more heavily bittered than steam beers generally are. Technically, the beer strays outside the style. But it is flavorful, clean and refreshing on a summer's day.
