Appearance: Served up an opaque, tawny orange-tan body with a slim, off-white head.
Smell: Toasted bread, a vinous quality and some fruit skins. A touch of minerality. Floral, redolent spices and wafting alcohol make for a rather perfumy bouquet.
Taste: Bready, moderately toasty with a strong sense of sweet, alcohol-drizzled fruitcake. Chopped orchard offerings with figs, golden raisins, all leisurely soaked in alcohol. An encroaching, earthy spiciness and tannic hint. Fairly warm.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Rather digestif-y!
