On-tap at the brewpub.
Pours a murky and deep copper color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a thin layer on top leaving solid lacing.
Smells of sweet caramel malts with somewhat spicy hop aromas and a distinct lager crispness.
Tastes similar to how it smells. Smooth caramel malt flavors with a slight mineral undertone. Midway through the sip mildly spicy and floral hop flavors enter into things and carry through to a mildly bitter ending.
Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with grainy carbonation.
Drinkability is also good. I finished my glass without a problem and could have another.
Overall there are more hops in here than traditional bocks but it doesn't take much away from the total package. Worth a shot.
