Appearance: Served a hazed orange-hued body with a slim, ivory head.

Smell: A slightly chewy breadiness with a hint of promised sweetness in the flavor with a shaving or two of fresh citrus peel.

Taste: Moderately sweet in the fore with a notable breadiness, then, some florals and a portion of fruity citrus juice. Only slightly bitter, but it's enough to carry you along to a drying, fruity finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Barely on both accounts, though.

Overall: A nice ale. Unlike chinchill, I did find it fresh-tasting, just not particularly bitter.

Had on tap.

A - Golden orange with nice white head

S - Citrusy hop scent

T - Would have guessed Ahtanem or Amarillo hops - the flavor is orangey hops. Very fruity - non-beer-geek buddy asked if it was flavored.

M - Easy drinking - could have had a few more if I wasn't driving home.

O - I would have this one again for sure.

"This beer is a celebration of the annual hop harvest. We had a farmer overnight us some Citra hops freshly picked stright from the farm. It has a beautiful, bright aroma with a crisp, drying, bitter finish." (from brewer's website).

Enjoyed a pint of this beer on Sept. 30 at 5 Seasons Westside.

The description above is on target, although I was surprised to see Citra hops highlighted here since this was not so evident in the taste.

Orange amber; mainly orange. Thin top coat is all there is for a head, and it does not last long.

Medium body. A bit syrupy. A little hop bite.

Aroma is very fruity, with a emphasis on citrus. Earthy caramel malt. The flavor is sweet to start, then moderately bitter and a bit earthy

Not quite as fresh tasting as expected.
