This is either a Vienna lager or an Oktoberfest, the distinction being too technical and irrelevant for my purposes. Since I drank this in September, Im willing to conclude that its chronological proximity and its name are sufficient to earn it the Oktoberfest label.
Great Harvest sports a light, crisp and refreshing character. It is old penny copper colored and can be characterized as clean and palatable with a modest bitterness and virtually no aroma. It shows no lace and minimal head. An honest, drinkable brew for the autumn season.
