Pale approachable golden ale. Kind of a yawner.
Crystal clear gold with a frothy head.
A light macro malt forward aroma, mild in every respect.
At first a sweet lemongrass and sugary malt presence, a really mild amber ale taste. Malt forward with maybe caramel as the only other flavor I can pick out. Slightly watery/aqueous, but otherwise an okay drinker. Some of that corny macro flavor seems to keep making a showing, and as this one warms up it becomes pretty nasty...
As an ice cold quasi-macro session beer, it's good. But I would just skip this if I were you, there's lots of goodies at GVB to have instead. Order one of these for your Coors pounding friend and watch him enjoy downing this pint.

Not a particularly clean or appealing ale due to the house yeast variety imparting a halo of punky marshmallow essence. I also encountered some notes of vanilla, which wasn't unpleasant but seemed misplaced in this otherwise simple table beer. The body is bright sunny yellow, clear, with low CO2 and minimal suds. Grand Island is not outside the realm of possible enjoyment and you might care for it more than I did. But the finish dragged and I felt no compulsion to seek another.
