This tawny old ale was brewed from Gambrinus ESB malt with additions of crystal malt, chocolate malt, torrified wheat, raw sugar, and molasses. It was hopped in the kettle with Nugget, Willamette, and Golding hops. Fifteen months aging in first use George Dickel barrels imparted a big, toasted oak and whiskey character. Another beer from this brewery, it seems like the only time I drink beer from this brewery is at Brewfest's. They are only about 40 miles away. I like most of their beers that I've tried so should probably make a trip.
