Love my mother. She stumbled across their website before Xmas and decided to get me a gift certificate as a gift. I went in the afternoon on New Years and the owner Matt had no problem spending the holiday afternoon showing me what to do since I had no idea. They have over 100 recipes on hand, and will help you adjust one or create your own recipe to match your taste. I went with a caramel nut porter. The website has the list of their recipes. During the brewing process Matt was great to talk to and answered all my questions. He let me sample one of his creations: a dark pale ale. Wierd, huh? But it was pretty good. I went back 3 weeks later to bottle, the place was packed and Matt was the only one working. But he was able to assist everyone with their brewing and bottling. All in all, I got almost 6 cases of beer, the bottles and caps, and was able to make my own labels for under $200. It was cheaper per six-pack than buying a micro-brew in a store. Oh yeah, most important, the beer is great. I'm planning a return trip to stock up for each season.

Some friends & I decided to try our collective hand at homebrewing. Not having any idea what we were in for, enlisting the help of a BOP seemed like a good idea. Yes, it was a good idea. We were able to make a tasty batch of porter using one of the many house recipes. The staff is very good at explaining the nuts & bolts of the process without becoming overly technical. Malt & hops are available for purchase, and the prices seemed reasonable - to me. A great time was had by all, and the owner is a excellent host.
