Brownish red in colour, clear. Under the light, ruby reflections are visible. Ecru-coloured foam, medium-high, persistent. Melts to a half-centimetre layer, very nicely circulating.
Aroma directly from the bottle is wet wood, cherries, intense malt notes. When poured into the glass more aromas are released, bread, sultanas, malty sweetness, earthy and grassy notes.
On the palate, the malty sweetness mixes with a slight cherry sourness and a slightly dry finish. The aromas release further, the beer is multidimensional and rich.
Gently warming alcohol, a reminder that there is a lot of it here. Medium saturation. Body high, full. Texture smooth. Fruity aftertaste quite long with a long warming.

A jump by Bosteels in the wood game.
Good looking, nice aroma and warm tasting. A great brew, for sure a sipper, just a little basic for the barrel style.
Worth a try, and a second, and third...

 

 

 

 

De Belgiuminabox. En copa Grimbergen. Jugando a Darksiders 2. La verdad es que de la Belgian dark strong de fondo no se nota mucho, pero tiene un perfil a madera realmente delicioso. Eso sí, ojo que el alcohol no se notab en boca pero se sube mucho a la cabeza
