473 ml can served cool into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for $3.25 CDN.
Appearance - dark amber with brown hues, an impressive two plus finger head tops this. No lacing but good staying power. Lots of visible carbonation.
Smell - slight bit of dark fruity, some plums maybe. Earthy hops and a steady malt backbone. Not terribly aromatic even among the style.
Taste - initially light and fruity with pears and plums coming into play before some earthy bitterness comes into play. A suggestion of treacle and molasses, makes this above average for me,
Mouthfeel - medium bodied, dry finish and prickly carbonation. Easy drinking.
Overall - a pretty good take on the ESB, doesn't strike me as robust as the Canada 150 beer a couple years ago, but the similarities are striking. Good beer, but not quite as good as that one.

Pours deep amber almost brown: aromas of caramel flavour goes deeper with hop bitterness pairing with the malt sweetness - almost treacle - quite heavy but not overwhelming.
