A 500ml clear glass bottle with a BB of Feb 2018. Purchased recently from Morrisons. A rugby-themed ale named after a type of kick. Described as a golden ale hopped with Challenger, Pilgrim and First Gold.
A: Poured into a pint mug. A clear golden-amber with good carbonation. Yields a large head of frothy white foam that hangs around for a minute or two before settling as a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of ale yeast and light malt, with hints of the distinctive GK yeast, leafy hops, mild hay, subtle caramel and a twinge of earthiness. Balanced but predictable.
T: Tastes of mild caramel malt with notes of GK yeast, grass/hay, leafy hops, faint barley sugar and vague earthiness. A subtle bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and light body. Aftertaste of ale yeast, leafiness and faint malt.
O: Bland in the typical GK manner, but sufficiently balanced that I can't really critise it too harshly. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour possess a mild blend of ale yeast, leafy hops and light malt. Average body. Not very stimulating but goes down OK. Worth sampling if you don't want to be challenged.

Bottled and sadly clear glass with a label citing something about rugby & the Westgate brewery
Pours a clear golden body with big foaming white head that retreats to a few wispy clouds
Aroma is traditional English pale ale, some subdued hops, malt and yeast.
The flavour gas a low level bitterness against biscuit malt and citrus hop
but it's burned through with skunking
Nice easy drinking
Would make a nice thirst quencher in dark brown glass, presumably
