Bought for 99p from home bargains, bottled in clear glass
Clear straw colour body with a firm lacing white top. Nose is a bit bland but taste holds up a little with some peppery citrus
I don't know a lot about cricket but in those terms this is the loss to Scotland, pale pish

A 500ml clear glass bottle with a BB of July 2018. Acquired recently from Home Bargains. Described on the label as a golden ale developed in partnership with the Official England Barmy Army; the result is a fruity ale with a mix of citrus, floral and spicy hops.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. A crystal-clear golden colour with plentiful carbonation. Forms a smallish head of frothy white foam that lasts for a moment or two before collapsing and dissipating.
S: Aroma of fruity ale yeast with hints of esters, mild leafy hops, light hay, a twinge of citrus, grainy malt and faint stewed husks. Balanced but pretty bland.
T: Tastes of fruity yeast esters with notes of light leafy hops, mild hay, a hint of citrus, grainy malt and a touch of stewed hops. Quite dry, followed by a crisp, understated bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and an insubstantial body. A bit too watery and fizzy. Lightly astringent. Aftertaste of fruity ale yeast, mild leafy hops and grainy malt.
O: Meh - average GK fare. Looks OK; shame about the head retention. Aroma and flavour are a pedestrian blend of GK house yeast, leafy hops and light malt. Subpar body. Entirely forgettable - give it a miss.
