Pours with a dark amber body, tan head with fairly good retention

Smell, malty body, quite limited, slight fruity hint

Taste, musky, slight hop bitterness but very limited, malty biscuity finish

A pretty average pale ale, not enough balance at all

This brew offered a little bit of everything, but not enough to make this an above-average brew, IMHO. The beer poured an amber hue into the glass. The head was thick and bubbly, for sure. The aroma was sweet, perhaps candy sugars? The flavor was somewhat harsh and, dare I say it, noninspiring. All in all, not a bad ale, but I will look elsewhere in the future.

This is another typical English nitro can along the lines of Boddington's or Caffrey's. Dark golden amber color with a medium creamy off-white head. Medium thin lacing too. The aroma is mild hops. Medium-bodied and creamy with a lightly malty and hoppy flavor. The bitterness comes through more in the finish which is very dry. Ho hum.

This brew poured a small head of off white small to medium sized bubbles and a transparent amber brown body in which the head continued to rise from the bottom to the top where one would actually consider the head to begin. The larger bubbles soon disappeared leaving only a creamy off white head of very small bubbles. It has a average hoppy aroma, a slightly dry bitter foretaste which settles into a lingering mild finish. There is a slight flavor to it, but it was hard for me to describe. Not a bad taste and not great either. Pretty much a average decent brew drinkable but nothing to write home about.

This brew poured a white creamy thick head with small bubbles that was long lasting. The lacing was thick on all sides of my glass. It had a smooth taste to it and it was watery and thin. There was not much character to this brew. There is not a lot I can say about this drink as I was not very impressed by it.

Cool cascading effect, after it settles this brew is a hazy gold/orange color with a thick white froth that sticks around till the end. Malt is pretty much the only smell I can gather from this brew. Mouthfeel is thick and smooth easy to drink. Tastes of malt, some hops and slight bitter after taste. This is a descent brew.

Clear light copper hue, w/ a typically thick, ultra dense head from the nitrogenation. Intricate lace is left. Not much going on in aroma-- a bit of diacetyl and fruitiness. Hop nose is absent, and there's a tinge of a metallic note. The light bitterness is well matched by the light malt character. It's quite bland all around, but light fruitiness and a hint of caramel malt provide something for the palette to hold on to. Finishes a bit watery, well attenuated and perhaps a touch cidery-- it would be dry if it weren't for the nitrogenation. Ruddles is drinkable but quite forgettable.

huge creamy head....the cascading effect is so cool. dark hazy golden. very smooth and creamy like someone dropped a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the glass. a little thin in the body but this one refreshingly tasty. some light roasted malt and a slightly creamy/bitter finish. a person could drink a lot of this in no time flat.

Presentation: 14.9fl. oz. Tradpour can, which produces a cask style pour.

Appearance: Burnt golden, hazy, with an amazing creamy pure white head (induced by the widget). The head last to the bottom.

Smell: Clean, with hop leaf aromas.

Taste: Smooth mouthfeel. Toasted malt and light raw grain flavours, with a nice level of malt sweetness. Then come the hop flavours: raw, oily, leafy, semi-astringent and they all carry through to the finish. The brew ends on a toasted sweet note, with a raw hop oilyness on the palate.

Notes: Very true to the Bitter style. A real session ale, and the whole Tradpour thingie induces your brain to think that you are really drinking it from draught. Spooky.
