On cask at Prince of Wales in Aberdeen Scotland.

A: Pours a golden/honey color. A two finger white head forms with good retention. Some sticky lace is left behind.
S: Citrus and floral hops up front and center. Grassy, spicy and herbal as well. Some sweetness balances evertything out nicely.
T: Follows the nose. There is a big hop presents up front. Citrus, floral, and grassy hops. A light bitterness as well. Well balanced with some sweet malt.
M/D: A mdeium body and carbonation. Really creamy and smooth. Very easy to drink. I can quaff a few with ease.

I was surprised to see that this is a Greene King beer, a brewery I am not a big fan of. Though this is an excellent Bitter. I really enjoyed this. Something I would higghly recommend.

Clear 500ml bottle, unable to find a best by date.

The beer was poured into an 'Old Speckled Hen' vase shaped pint glass.

Dortmunder golden colour, a bright, bright, clear amber, very small wispy white head. If it had a decent head it would have looked great.

Hops and yeast hit the nose, a sweetness from summer fruits also come into play.

The sweetness follows into the taste, leaving the hops and yeast in a distant second place along with some maltiness.

The 4.1% alcohol is hidden but the beer has a depth to it. Very little body, but there is something there that helps to keep the flavours strong during the aftertaste, which begins to dry as the taste weakens. Medium carbonisation,
and not a bad beer apart from that poor head.

Appearance: Golden honey in color, quite bright, with a thin white head. Some lacing.

Smell: Crisp and sweet, with some light citrus notes.

Taste: More citrus, with some honey malt. Fairly light, all around. Finishes clean and pleasant enough.

Mouthfeel: Light-medium body, carbonation fits the style.

Drinkability: Not quite refreshing, but not too "filling," either. A light lunch kind of beer.

Tasted by a half pint at the Angel Inn, one of the oldest pubs (and many used to be coaching inns) in Andover. Alas, it is now in the hands of GK, but this pub does feature one guest ale every now and then, in quite decent condition as well. Non-sparkler hand-pulled.

A: clear, light golden in colour, with a thin white foam sitting on top of very mildly carbonated body.
S: predominantly honey-ish malty and sweet floral, plus Styrian Goldings like lightly spicy-citric hops. Of course, the GK's trademark yeasty note is firmly in the background.
T: honeyish malts come rather juicy upfront, added with light but lingering grassy&floral hoppiness; leading towards a long, dryish palate of slightly tannic, mildly spicy bitterness, whereby a faint touch of boiled Chinese green beans and light pale malts also linger.
M&D: as this is from a fresh cask, the texture is very refreshing and the body is light, although the finishing touch does go a bit thin-ish. Overall the good length of chewy hoppiness and a dryish palate seems to elevate the whole performance somewhat.
