11.2oz bottle: This one pours a almost clear, reddish-amber color. There was some off-white foam, but it subsides quickly. The aroma is faint, and all I can get is some caramel malt from it. The taste is OK, but rather uninspiring. I get some caramel sweetness, maybe some faint hops. Also faintly bready. Neither bad nor good. Just a beer.

Dark copper to amber in color. Clear with an off-white head.
Aroma is a caramel malt type aroma with a fruit nature to it.
Taste drops off from aroma IMO. The caramel type malt flavor is there, but is subdued. The bitterness dominates beginning to end. It's a nice level of bitterness, but the malt backbone isn't strong enough to balance this beer out. Bitterness lingers a bit too long after the finish. Some fruit character to the beer as well.
Above average mouthfeel.
The lack of balance knocks down the drinkability of this one.
Overall, a solid beer, but could be so much more if the malt made it's presence known more.

Light brown, bronz-ish copper with a nice beige head, decent carbonation, and decent lace. Nice malt and English hop aroma with a generally earthy aroma. Spicy malt character dominates with little-no hop flavor. Light-medium bodied with a dry bitter finish that sticks in the throat.
A decent English Ale but nothing special.

Nice clear copper color with red hints...nice size foam head...
Aroma was not too strong...mild sweet malt...
Taste was much more prominent than aroma...there was sweet malt, alcohol, citrus?
Mouthfeel was not thick but not too thin...leaning more on the thin side of the scale...
Drinkability good...I could knock a few of these down
Overall decent...not great but not half bad...

As it sets in the pint glass a translucent burnished copper color, the head prodigious, spumous in texture, light tan in color and as it erodes the left over lace a nice coating upon the glass. The aroma of fresh cut grass, yeast, sweet malts, a different nose to be sure with the start sweet and loaded with malt, top is skimpy in feel. Finish is mildly acidic, the hops pleasant in their spicy presence, dry aftertaste. A classic English style ale, pleasant and unassuming, drinkable and meant to be easy on the palate, different and maybe not a beer many would like, guess what Im saying is that its not overbearing like most American Pales, but still decent nonetheless.

Light reddish-brown w/ a foamy off-white head that faded quickly. Malty on the nose and there is a chemical-cleaner tinge to it that I didn't like one bit. I'm not sure how to describe the taste other than lemony with a lingering bitterness. I thought it was very dry and very drinkable.

Package: 11.2 ounce capped bottle. Dark brown bottle. Black label with stained glass picture (of St. Edmund, I presume) surrounded in gold trim. Label states Traditionally Brewed in Bury St. Edmunds. No freshness date but I will assume this is a fresh bottle since I got it as part of my MJ Beer Club International monthly delivery.
Appearance: Clear orange/amber with slight reddish tint. Thick tan head interlaced with nice large bubbles.
Smell: Cloves, malt, and bready aroma. Alcohol presence is also detected.
Taste: Cloves flavor up front. Citrus flavor comes in next. Aftertaste is bitter complemented with malt and banana. After a long while, only the bitter aftertaste remains. I am also getting banana flavored burps. I agree with the last reviewer in that this is reminiscent of a weizen. Surprising to say the least.
Mouthfeel: Dry finish.
Drinkability: Very drinkable.
Comments: I quite enjoyed this beer. The weizen characteristics were a pleasant surprise.
