A brown ale packed with chocolate that finishes with a light hop flavor. Pairs well with poultry, salads and pork.

Beer poured with overflowing head that left no lacing on the glass. Despite this, The beer is somewhat flat. The smell was dirty glass at first but after half a glass, it smelled of slight caramel notes. Just not a great beer. It’s ok.

Brown color where light doesn't shine through but that may be more from haze than color. Good starting head. It does settle to rim bubbles. I get an initial ring of lace but nearly nothing thereafter.
A bland start to the nose. I only get a little bit of deeply roasted malt, like dark toast.
The flavor is an improvement with some strong toasty malt flavors. There is some nondescript hop bitterness in the swallow but the aftertaste is shorter than I expected. The body is thin with plenty of carbonation.
