For what it is I want to give it a good review. I had this beer at the Boston Bowl in Hanover, Ma. So apparently the Phillips family opened this Brewery in the Dorchester location of Boston Bowl and then bring down Kegs to the new Hanover Location (which is a nice place to go bowling)

The Beer:

Well i think it would call it more of a straight west coast style Pale Ale than an IPA. I find I want IPA to have more hop character, especially in the aroma, which I think that the Deadwood IPA is lacking a little.

It is a nice unfiltered IPA and have the appearance that I would expect from an IPA.

Solid taste. Nothing over powered or bad. A nice solid bitterness with a slight amount of perceived bitterness from the slight hop aroma.

Mouthfell is again very good... I think it had a nice body to it.

Drinkability... We for a lot of reasons it is very drinkable. It was the best beer option (B,M,C) at bowling alley... It is exciting to goto my local bowling alley and drink a craft made small beer you can't get anywhere else. But it also is a good beer. Is it the best beer ever... No... but it is better than any other options that they have there at Boston Bowl... and it is important to show them that people want good... craft made beer.

The biggest criticism that I have is that the brewer needs to educate the staff at the Hanover location a little better on the beer. Explain to them what an Ale is... tell them to not serve it in frozen pint glasses (you serve Bud in frozen pint glasses so that the glass freezes your taste buds before the rancid beer hits them).... and just explain to them the importance of Craft Beer, local beer, and beer tastes!

Great job and Hope that you can get more styles on Tap at the Boston Bowl Hanover!!

Had this served in an "wicked cold" glass (22oz).

A-Dark amber with an thin white head (likely the result of the frosted glass).

S-manure, farmy, grass, some hop citrus smells.

T-grainy, some citrus, grassy

M-medium

D-I wasn't all that into this beer. Too many funky flavors. I had to move on to another beer after just one.
