I came here on my lunch break from jury duty. Nice tap selection, decent food and very friendly service. A nice little spot in the financial district for craft beer.

Wow I can't believe anyone could give this place anything but an A+. I love this place great beer selection 35 taps and the bartenders are great. Always willing to make great selections and remember what you like. Food is great, place is known for their wings but I'm big fan of their burgers. Great place for fans of good beer. The beer selection is always updated with great beers. I love sitting at bar with IPAD and looking up beers and ratings as I drink them. Wish I lived closer so I could have a very happy Hour.

I work in the area for the last 2 years and originally went to the place in trying to fulfill hitting every beer bar in Manhattan listed on Gotham Imbiber (have pretty much hit them all from 5oth to downtown). I had been there a couple of times but in the last few months they have made a great renovation to the tap area behind the bar. The board lists 18 craft taps and today I had a Southern Tier 2 X IPA, Also noticed the Bruery Coton. This is the best beer bar in Tribeca hands down and the draft selection easily rivals d.b.a. Might go back tomorrow for the Coton!

Mudville 9 is similar to Standings in the East Village that it's a primarily a sports bar that just happens to serve very good beer. However, it differs from the latter in that it has an extensive pub grub menu including seriously excellent buffalo wings, and the Financial District/NYC government location always assures a large (and generally annoying) after work crowd. Several games are on, but the crowd is not necessarily there to watch them (unlike Standings).

They rotate the taps pretty frequently, and recently featured offerings from Weyerbacher, Southern Tier, Greenflash, Cape Ann and Ommegang among others. They unquestionably take the brews seriously, and there's certainly something to be said for nursing a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout '08 through the final three innings of a Mets game. That being said, most of the crowd seems oblivious to the quality on tap, simply opting for the path of least resistance (i.e. InBev).

It gets a little loud, and the crowd is more than a little beat, but if you're simply looking to catch a game with some craft brew on hand, Mudville 9 gets it done. And as far as craft in Tribeca/FiDi goes, other than AnotherRoom, it's really the only game in town. Try the jerk chicken style wings. Yum.

The place is great, over 30 beers on tap and another 70 in bottle and cans. I'm an IPA drinker and I had the Firestone Walker Union Jack IPA and the Elysian Avatar Jasmine IPA, both were delicious.

The wings are some of the best I have ever had!!! They have numerous different flavors, my friends and I had the medium which were not to spicy, we also had the jamaican jerk style and super wow hot... all were great.

The TV set up is very solid as well. I was there during the pay per view boxing event and the crowd really got into it. They had two screens that pull down from the ceiling and they are huge!!

A buddy of mine actually suggested meeting up at this place to watch a soccer game last Sunday afternoon, and it's not a horrid place or anything, but I wouldn't call it a craft beer destination.

Very much a typical NYC sports bar/dive feel to the place, with it being slightly better than a true to form dive. Flat-screen TVs cover just about any empty wall space above the tables and bar (might be exaggerating a little, but just to emphasize), which is not bad if you're looking to catch a game.

The tap lineup was pretty lacking upon my visit, nothing really great (or even good) in terms of craft or decent import brews. They did have a couple of Bluepoint brews, and a couple of other regionals.

The bottle list was much better, which a smattering of a few better US craft offerings, and some nice imports (mostly Belgians...nothing rare, but solid).

I mean, I can't complain too much as I was able to drink a few Prima Pils and catch a game. The service was prompt enough, but it was clear the staff didn't know anything about beer (after my buddy had inquired about one of the drafts).

Overall, I mean you could do worse in the area, but by no means should one go out of his or her way.

Interesting place, used to be sort of a dive that was kept secret, but now is transformed to the large sports bar-styled place it is now.

Decor is rustic, polished wood everywhere. Long booths in front and tables in the back, the long bar is on the center right.

The main reason I like this bar is that they offer 22 oz pints of various craft brewed beer for $5. In Manhattan, New York this is the best deal around. I've found Left Hand, Troegs, Victory, Ommegang, Sixpoint, Bear Republic, Kalamazoo, you never know what they will have, they rotate it monthly. They also have an extensive bottled beer lists containing beers from all over the world, including smaller breweries, not just conglomerate stuff. In addition there is a beer club, if you drink 75 different beers you get a $50 gift certificate and your name immortalized on the wall.

Food is typical pub grub, the wings come with a wide variety of spices and flavors and were voted best wings in NYC one year, they are pretty good. The rest of the food is fine, though not noteworthy.

Odd happy hours include playing the Wii and other. Service is hit or miss, I've had some who were fantastic and some who were awful, and to be truthful the owner is kind of a douschebag. Still, the beer here makes it worth it.
