A - Golden yellow color, with a thick head and some decent lacing.
S - A lot of spice, with some sweet candied fruits coming through strongly on this one. I found the nose fairly pleasant, although slightly on the sweeter side than it needed to be.
T - This is a very light tripel, the candied fruits come through quite nicely, although the spice is a bit muted. Kind of a one trick pony, as the sweetness is a bit dominating.
M - Medium carbonation, light bodied, a little too light actually. Dry finish.
D - Pretty easy to get down at 8.7%. It wasn't great, but I didn't hate it.

I had this at the brewpub today. Probably the worst beer they had. Pouring light yellow with a dense white head that has good retention and decent lacing, it does look good in the glass. The nose is quite good, with some spice along with a fairly complex bouquet of honey, floral characteristics and light stone fruit, nectarines being most noticeable. The palate however, doesn't hold up. Opening a little sweet with sugar and candy, the spice character is replicated, with a little pepper. Again, the floral and fruit character are present and while enjoyable, the beer finishes just too sweet, almost harsh with an artificial sweetener like character. Despite the sweetness, it is fairly light in body and the carbonation is solid. I had a hard time finishing my sample, and if I try it again, it will be just a sample pour.
