Nice coffe roast smell with a little chocolate. Smooth beer, except for a slightly bitter finish.

22oz bomber poured into red solo cups as the good times rolled at the pavilion. Black body with a half-finger of tan head. Not much lacing, but hey, it’s a solo cup. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa powder, and a touch of coffee - on the simple side. Flavors are similar, roasty malt sweetness leads through some cocoa and coffee bitterness. Medium body, thin texture, especially for an oatmeal stout, medium carbonation, a touch high for the style, dry finish.

Poured from a bomber to a nonic glass

L: Black with light brown head. Was VERY fizzy for me; it took a while to pour as the giant head kept sticking around. Eventually settled into a nice foam.

S: Lots of coffee and chocolate with earthy fruit notes at the end from the hops. No oatmeal smell.

T: this tasted a little thin, but nice. Coffee with some earthy hops at the end with a bit of toffee, but otherwise. Not especially sweet, as I'd expect from this style. It felt more like an Irish Stout. Decided burnt taste at the end. No oatmeal flavour.

M: Sparkly, but thin. It was clean-feeling, but it lacked that smoothness you'd normally get from an Oatmeal Stout. I'd prefer a less-carbonated version.

O: Not bad, but nothing to write home about. I'd love to try it on tap, though; I think some of the things that are missing would come out more from a drought pour. But I won't seek out another bottle.
