On-tap at SBBC
The pour is pale golden in color with a white head. A sweet maltiness to begin. Floral hops, a touch of grass, and a bit of soap. There's also a touch of chlorine. The flavor is sweet cereal and a bit of bread. There is a definite soapy quality to it and the same tinge of chlorine. Some grass and lightly bitter hop notes, maybe a bit of floral hops. Really just kind of blah.

Served on-draught into a pilsner glass at Santa Barbara brewing. Paired with pizza. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a half finger head devoid of cream, but with decent thickness; retention is bad. Colour is a clear gold.
Sm: Light barley, with maybe some cream. A mild strength aroma.
T: Too hoppy for a pilsner (they claim it's a pilsner on their menu). What were they thinking? It's bitter, but simple and wrong for the style. This is their flagship? Really? Poorly built for the style. Imbalanced.
Mf: A bit crisp, but also a touch coarse and dry. Doesn't at all suit the style or flavour.
Dr: The drinkability is okay, but the quality is low. I wouldn't get it again. This was a poor choice for their flagship; they have far better brews.

Had this on tap yesterday at the SBCC on State Street. Picked their "flagship" and if this is it, it's not much to hang your hat on.
Appearance: Very pale and hardly any head, and carbonation was shockingly low for a tap brew. No lacing really at all.
Smell: Slight grain and grape, with a hint of hoppiness. Citrus is mild, but that's about it.
Taste: Almost honey-like sweetness was pleasant, but far too mild as there was hardly anything going on it taste. Limited amounts of grain, and I just found myself wishing for more the entire time.
Mouthfeel: Like water, super-thin and left hardly any aftertaste.
Drinkability: I plowed through this due to it not having much flavor, but I wasn't left wanting more after it was tapped. Pass on this, try something else, let's hope it's better than this.

Another little beer I wont drink again.
Poured a light gold color, no head at all. Nose was a little honey, light citrus, lightly hopped.
Taste was average, nothign to write home about. Very watery with a sight hoppy finish but not drikable. Pass on it.

Draft at brewery, 02/18/08.
Deathly pale pour with no carbonation or head after a couple of minutes. No aroma.
As thin a flavor as a macro, but no adjuncts, at least. Tiny bit of sweetness that finishes clean. No malt flavors, no hop character.
Why bother with this one? If you need thirst quenching on a summer day, a glass of water would probably be preferable. I don't want to sound bitchy, but there's almost nothing to this beer.

While I'm not a big fan of the Blonde, I did enjoy this one from Santa Barbara Brewing Company.
A - Light straw look with a little white head.
S - Smells strongly of unripened white grapes.
T - Mild yet persistent hop bite. Strong carbonation. Very lively with no overriding, dominant flavor.
M - Light.
D - Very. Nice hot summer dry drinker.
