Part of a sampler of 6 beers. I'm not a real big fan of pumpkin beers, but this one actually works. Just enough pumpkin happening and not overburdened by spice. The spice there is is gentle enough to enjoy and not just a big gulp of nutmeg. Smells good, tastes good, not artificial in character. Worth a try while it's in season.

On tap at the Toronto brewpub. I am told the first time they have made this. A spice shelf wafts from the initial pour. Medium orange coloured body with about 3/8" retained head. Smooth mouthfeel, with just a tad of astringency. Getting cinammon at first, then ginger, pumpkin, cloves, and in the finish white pepper. Salty residue that leaves one thirsty. Not a bad shot at it, but I would wait till next year before trying again.
