Draft: Poured a medium amber color ale with a nice light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with light dry fruit ester is enjoyable. Taste is also a mix between some caramelized malt with balanced sweetness and some floral hops with some light dry fruits ester. Boyd is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Pleasant and something I would order again.

12oz draught
9.0% ABV (as per waitress)
Seasonal Brew
I tried this beer on draught on January 27, 2012 at "The 3 Brewers" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a solid brown colour with translucent edges. The cap was tan coloured and thin. The aroma was plums, caramel, and spices. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour came across as dry with caramnel, citrus, fruit and peppery notes. A good beer.

Enjoyed on tap at the Toronto brewpub. This is the winter seasonal. Pours dark brown with virtually no head. Roast and spice, much cinnamon. The taste is spicy, and the base in like a black IPA, Cascadian hop, with the hops well understated and the roast emphasized. Dangerously drinkable. Interesting.
I had the 2012 version and it was a basic boozy beer with spices. No comparison to last year. Dark yellow.
