As with some other reviews, I beleive some of mine have been inadvertantly deleted. This place was another casualty of what I am assuming is a server change/reboot etc.

This is a great little homebrew shop. Actually, its not really small, it is quite large. They carry homebrew stuff as well as general hardware items, which gives this place a lot of character. Located in a tricky spot on Battleground it was tough to find.

The guys working the counter are always excited and enthusiastic about homebrew questions. I spoke with one guy for about 30 minutes about hops. It was quite the conversation.

They have everything needed for homebrew. I actually like this place a bit better than Triad Homebrew. Fifth season is open on Monday for your emergency homebrew needs after you realize you need to repitch your yeast ASAP after brewing on Saturday night. The grains are self serve and can be milled for free. I love the self service part of this place. I like being able to just mozy about and sniff and smell and taste at my own pace.

I think this is THE place to go for homebrew needs in the Triad. Sometimes Triad Homebrew is low on hops and/or yeast but this place always has plenty. Definitely check this place out.

This was a much, much better store. I have to admit though Battleground rd is a nightmare! Personal complaint aside I started out here as I hit a bunch of places along the road. I walked in and was pleasantly suprised. A much bigger place then I am used to, and the combination of hydro growing supplies and beer and wine making seem to be a match made in heaven, lol. Great selection of local hops, at least 5 differnet size bottles and a very knowledgeable staff that was eager to assist. One of the coolest places I have visited in a while for sure.
