Copenhagen 27/10 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. A smoky locomotive on the label with a warning on the back: "This beer is not for everybody".
Pours hazy mahogany with a big off-white head. A bit bubble. Head disappears fairly fast upon pouring. Reminds me of champagne with the explosive but unstable foam.
Aroma is sweet ad malty mingling with a salty and peaty scent. Smoked peat, sweet caramel, salami and salted meat.
Strong carbonation and surprisingly thin palate.
Flavor is quite sweet with only a light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light touch of smoked salami.
I really like the smell - but I was disappointed by the flavor and palate which I found thin and conventional. But I did have quite high expectations.
