Copenhagen 23/12 2016. 75 cl bottle from Meny. A smiling pig making a discrete exit while the Financial Sector is breaking down (at least ethically) on the label. Hornbeer continues its crusade against the lack of morality and decency in the Financial Sector.
Pours hazy dark, reddish brown with an off-white head. Stable. Settles as a thin patchy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is kinda spicy. Sweetish with licorice, anise and cinnamon. A little roastiness and a little bitterness. Like cold coffee.
Medium strong carbonation and a medium thick palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by a spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is of licorice with notes of anise.
Fine spicy swashbuckler that is able to hide a quite high ABV effectively.

Kinda christmas doppelbock, not very clear one with some sediment and spiciness. Hazy brown with bulky beige head, good retention. Dried fruits & nuts, medium body and carbonation.
