Copenhagen 23/7 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Blonde girl in a white dress having a lonesome picnic on the label. Something that looks like a sleazy bird is sneaking a peek.
Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. Stable. Settles as a patchy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is spicy and of Belgian yeast, fruity sweetness of lemonade and banana.
Medium strong carbonation and thick palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is heavy sweetness followed by a medium strong tart sourness. Aftertaste is more balanced.
A nice try at the Belgian style from Kirke Hyllinge.

Very nice beer! Got this today in a little shop in Copenhagen called Barleywine. Poured with a nice big, textured, off-white head and loads of lace. Color is a very hazy rich amber. Aroma is spicy, citrusy, a little grainy, yeasty, and honey. Mouth is good - soft, fine carbonation, filling. Good balance. Ditto on the finish. A bit warming from alcohol. Could be a session beer.
