Copenhagen 19/9 2023. 44 cl can from Best of Beer web-shop. Black version of Hornber's usual Hop Gun brand design with the hipster with sun glasses and a hop flower for a beard.
Pours opaque dark brown with a huge beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles thin, patchy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with dark and slightly sugary odor with a touch of dark alcohol. Dark, roasted malts, toffee and a hint of brown sugar. Dark chocolate. Whiff of citrus fruit.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is quite dry.
Sweet boozer with a tart tang.
