Black color, creamy tan head. Aroma has brownies with some sweet syrupy malt and a hint of spice. Taste has sweet, roasty malt, some chocolate cake, roasty bitterness on the finish with lingering burnt malt flavor. Medium plus body, smooth mouthfeel. Overall a really enjoyable porter.

The beer is black with brown hints, has a tan head that leaves little lacing but good curtains.
Smelling of toast, roasted coffee and chocolate, dark and lighter.
Burned bread, dark fruits, strong coffee, dark chocolate.
Medium carbonation, soft with a big body, a slightly dry finish.
In all a decent porter, to me more Baltic than American.

Bottle: Poured a thick black color porter with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry roasted malt with light black chocolate notes and some lactose notes is quite good. Taste is a nice mix between some good notes of lactose with dry roasted malt and some black chocolate. Boyd is quite full with creamy notes and no apparent alcohol. Not bad though I was expecting more complexity out of this one.
