This beer is brewed in Lejre, land of the Vikings, in honour of Odin, other gods and good people.
At the brewery you often see and hear two ravens flying around. We are sure that they are Hugin and Munin, Odin's ravens who are out to find news for him, and what place is better to look at than Hornbeer.
Raven is an amber coloured and sweet beer, not as sweet as the gods' former favourite drink Mjöd, but just as high in alcohol percent and that is what the gods like.
In Valhalla we are sure that Mjöd has now been replaced by Raven, and therefore we reserve the right to call ourselves "Supplier for the Nordic gods".

Copenhagen 25/9 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Yellow label with clumsy Drawing of a Viking wielding an Axe and Two Ravens (perhaps some Norse Mythology peeking in).
Pours murky brown with a red hue. Medium-sized off-white head. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No Lacing.
Aroma is intense, very sweet and with fruits saturated in alcohol. Brown sugar, burnt caramel, fermented dark fruits. Notable presence of alcohol.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, greasy, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light boozy burn. Lingers for a while.
Belgian inspired dark beer very much on the sweet side. A bit too much for my taste buds.
