Godt Øl is not filtered or pasteurized – so more flavor remains. And we give ourselves plenty of time - Godt Øl ages in the tank for many weeks before bottling. Godt Øl is brewed with organic pilsner malt from Zealand fields. Short transportation is good for the environment.
When you brew beer, you get a lovely leftover product called mash. It's the crushed barley kernels that we've got the best for our Godt Øl. The mash is a favorite food of some pigs who, while slurping loudly, enjoy the rest of us drinking Godt Øl!

Copenhagen 4/11 2018. 50 cl bottle from Mette's Verden, Nykøbing Sjælland. Very Green Lady carrying tray with beers on her head. Spotty pig following her. I can understand that the pigs gets what's left over after beer production. Good for them.
Pours hazy amber with medium-sized white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is not particularly intense. Balanced between lightly sweet malts and a grassy bitterness with hints of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, flat texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a little sharp. Lingers shortly.
Good bitterness but a bit generic nose. Goes well with a cold lunch.
