Copenhagen 5/9 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Paining of what looks like some Hens on the label. It is a Farmhouse Ale after all.
Pours hazy orange with very big white head. Quite persistent. Settles as several centimeters thick blanket of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and malty. But with notable more acidic and bitter odors rummaging in the background. Honey intermingling with lemon and citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick and lightly oily and soft texture. Lightly prickly.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering for a while.
On the bitter side for a Bière de Garde - but that suits my taste buds quite fine.
