Pours very dark opaque brown with off-white head. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam drifting aimlessly around.
Aroma is strong and roasted. Coffee, dark chocolate - more bitter than sweet.
Medium to soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is strongly sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and roasted with sour notes.
A bit on the sweet side - but certainly a more than decent Schwarzbier.
