Svanholm is brewed with wheat and rye from Svanholm's fields, as well as walnuts from the old trees in the avenue leading up to the estate's main building.
Goes well with lamb, pork, veal and vegetables, as well as with a good cheese.

Copenhagen 7/2 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Slightly primitive drawing of a lot of Hearts, some Hens and some nuts which I understand is an ingredient in this beer (not the Hens - only the nuts and probably the Love). Brewed in cooperation with Svanholm Collective using local ingredients.
Pours hazy amber with an humongous off-white head. Settles as thick blanket of foam - several centimeters thick.
Aroma is ind of subdued due to the massive amount of foam. Sweetish with a little brown sugar, nuts and tart, unripe berries. Not particularly strong but pleasant enough.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by quite strong sour bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish and bitter.
Surprisingly bitter for a Hippie beer - but not bad even though a bit one-dimensional.
