The beer YTR is a Belgian strong ale of 8.5%. It is brewed with pilsner malt, caramel malt and candy. YTR is secondarily fermented in the bottle like the classic Belgian monastery beers. YTR is a really nice companion to “old-fashioned” Danish food – roast pork or roast beef with peeled potatoes and brown gravy and a little sour – but also a good choice for a beer for the cheese board.

Copenhagen 12/1 2017. 50 cl bottle. Gift from my Mother-in-law. Very angry Troll harassing the internet while caressing his cat on the label.
Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a yellowish head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish. Fermented fruit, caramel and brown sugar. Light tart notes.
Medium to light carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is sweet followed by slightly spicy medium bitterness. Potent feel of alcohol. Aftertaste is sweet and bitter at the same time. Lingering.
A quite potent strong beer which is sweet without becoming cloying. And I am ready to harass somebody with a slur in my voice after emptying the bottle.
