Copenhagen 21/11 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Drawing of Santa dragging the Sled while the Reindeer is enjoying the ride on the label.
Pours slightly hazy deep brown with a red hue. Head is off-white and medium-sized. Settles as thin layer of foam managing to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is spicy, sweet and lightly roasted. Very Christmassy. Dark, fermented fruit, caramel, licorice, anise and ammonia.
Soft carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate spicy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with a strong tang of licorice. Light alcoholic burn.
This Christmas Beer goes all in on the Christmas Spices. So much it almost becomes a parody of a Christmas Beer.

A: Pours dark brown with red hues. The tall brown whipped-cream-like head sinks after some time, leaving decent lacings.
S: Candy-like sweetness from the dark roasted malts. Lots of dark dried fruits. In the back are some yeasty notes along with spices. Smells nice, but nothing out of the ordinary for this style.
T: Rich sweet very dark malt, with a little sour twist. The dark dried fruits are very powerful. Chocolate, very dark is balanced by black coffee. Kind of bitter. Yeast and spices.
M: Aftertaste lasts for some time, holding mostly bitterness. Body is full while carbonation is mild - very smooth!
O: Nice, but not very x-masy for my taste.
