Copenhagen 16/3 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny. Stark raving mad elk on the label. Recommended by the Brewery as a "Beer you can drink to your Christmas Dessert".
Pours dark reddish Brown with a small bubbly white head. Disappears after 10 seconds leaving only a faint trace of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is very sweet and intense on the verge of being cloying. Sweet sugary odor of cherries with acidic tart notes and faint notes of chocolate.
Low carbonation and a thick oily texture.
Flavor is sweet, dark berries. Heavy, sugary sweetness. Followed by tart acidic sourness from the cherries. Aftertaste has fine balance of sweetness and acidity.
A bit too heavy on the berries for my taste. But manages to hide the impressive ABV quite well - and not a bad take on Christmas Beer.

500ml bottle. Shaker glass. Enjoyed on apr´13. Burgundy color & clear appearance. Pinky off-white froth creates a close, thin crown lasting ´til the end. Aroma profile shows hints of wood, cherries, sour notes, citric zest hues as well as brown sugar. Red fruits, pungent astringency & sourness. Light to medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Warming sugary alcohol. Quite cloying.
