This is a seasonal beer, available from April to November. Their other seasonal is called 'Harmony' and believe is a kind of weizenbock. Sadly, this appears to be in the American Pale Wheat Ale style, and has all of the bland characteristics that go with it.
The appearance actually bodes well, with its cloudy lemon yellow body and well lacing foamy white head. For all the world it looks like a beautiful weizen. The aroma is where the rot begins. Its dominated by grain, and only faint notes of citrus and banana esters are found. Likewise the flavour is similarly one-dimensional with the grain winning out over everything else. On this hot day the light body was welcome and refreshing, but in cooler weather it wouldn't pass muster.
I like Kori Kori, and the brewmaster seems to have passion... perhaps their other seasonal would be more to my liking?
