Sample from tap at the Lieberth Keller on the Kreuzberg near Stiebarlimbach.
This beer poured a hazy, amber brown color with tan foam that settled flat. Overall the carbonation was modest (perhaps this was from a gravity keg). The smell was sweetish malty with mild hoppiness and a slight cereal aroma. The taste was malty just a touch sweet, with some grain-husk-cereal flavor. There was a touch of caramel flavor. The hops were mild and subdued. The mouthfeel was smooth with medium body and low carbonation. Dry overall, with a light dry maltiness lingering. This was a good kellerbier.
