This pale lager comes directly from Sologne and can be found in several Loire Valley castles gift shops. Nothing really exceptional about this one, a bit dull and out of balance

Large starting head. It settles in a rocky fashion, but quickly. Leaves some chunky lace. The color is a cross between straw and gold. It is also cloudy.
Raw and grainy are the first smells I receive. Slightly skunky.
The initial taste is a cross between a grainy macro and a full bodied pale ale. There's a good level of balancing hop, although it is subdued. It's a smooth beer but not complicated. Balanced aftertaste that fades as expected.
