★★★½

pours a beautiful clear amber.
take your time with the nose: you'll find complex alcohol aromas with whiffs of sugar, spices (tumeric?) and something floral!
on the mouth, the attack is quite gentle and leads with spice and alcohol, then malt and baking sugars dance in the nose and palate before earthy hops announce a pumpkin pie/spice finish (but nothing too sweet!) that lingers in the palate and tongue.
this beer reminds me a lot of their double. the spice character is very well done and the alcohol is good too. just enough sugars to round out everything else. :)

2016 version.
Strong for a pumpkin beer. Taste like a strong hefeweizen with a light pumpkin taste. Great seasonal beer. Trefle noir delivered, as usual

Bottle: Poured a murky dark amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of strong notes of spices including cinnamon and cloves with light pumpkin. Taste is also dominated by strong notes of cinnamon and cloves with some light pumpkin notes. Body is quiet full with medium carbonation. Enjoyable but maybe tad too strong on the spices.
