Before I even begin this review I will state that this is not your everyday american IPA, this is as the label states this is a Lemon Citra IPA. Its a unique flavor to anything I've tasted so far and I really am enjoying it as we speak.

Appearance - Pours a very cloudy straw gold with a huge head,(poured into a 16 oz barglass I got 3 fingers head) resides slowly leaving a film over the top of this well carbonated beer.

Aroma - The first thing that hits my nose is a strong sweet lemon . The best way to describe it is the same as a yellow lollypop. Next you get some floral notes, My guess is the whole nose comes from the hops, anything else is drowned out in that lemon smell which is very intriguing.

Taste - Lemon first but its not the same sweetness on the nose, Im getting the zestyness of the lemon here with a slight bitterness. The next flavor is line are floral notes from the citra hops followed by some light malts. This would be a refreshing beer on a hot july day.

Feel - This beer has a frothy medium body with a very light bitterness starting around the middle that hangs around until the end. Carbonation stays lively but not in an agressive way at all.

Overall - I am very impressed with this beer, I can see why die hard IPA fans might find it offensive, but as a person who hasn't found a particular style hes hated as of yet I must say this is a good beer. It's unlike anything I've tasted to date so the best I can do is tell you to try and imagine the smells and flavors I've posted on top. Cheers!

Bottle: Poured a bright hazy yellow color ale with large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus zest with loads of hoppy floral notes. Taste is a mix of lemon notes with some intense citrus floral notes and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice IPA with loads of floral notes and limited bitterness and the lemon juice does add an interesting touch.

Highly carbonated, almost effervescent beer, with a tall head of coarse bubbles that subside to an almost soapy film of lacing that persists during consumption.

Unique citrus aroma and flavor, true to the bottle's moniker, "Citrus lemon IPA". Quite different from typical citrusy/hoppy IPAs. The beer possesses distinct citrus attributes without the typical strong bitterness associated. What bitterness is present, seems to show up very late at the end of the finish.

Also has a hint of sourness that pairs well with the citrus. The beer has a smooth drinkability while still having distinct and notable flavors and smells.

Mouthfeel has a nice frothiness, that further deepens the overall experience of the beer.

Overall: This beer exceeded my expectations, and opened up quite dramatically as it warmed up. This is a unique, almost delicately composed IPA that was excellent.

Nice carbonation in the golden brew with a huge bubbly head. Intense lemon smell, really floral. Nice lemon taste in the mouth too with a crisp and refreshing bitterness.
