Clear garnet colour. Aromas of pitted fruit, dates, semisweet and light bittering hops. Crisp clean and light, tastes like it smells. Stone fruits, cherries, raisin, light caramel malts and semi bitter finish that lingers.

The colour is amber with a hint of brown. The off-white head is finger thick. Very little lacing occurs.

The smell is mild: Somewhat dry roasted notes and a hint of yeast.

The taste is lightly bitter with mildly roasted notes of bread/dough. Some notes of margarine and minerals. Dry bitter notes and soft (fruity?) Saaz hops in the aftertaste.

The carbonation is medium to light. The liquid is smooth as expected from a drought semi-dark beer.

Overall an average Czech beer.

Let's play translation. Half dark..hmm! dunkel? It was amber with a dark tan. Darker malt. Smells like a lager. Good bold carbonation. Sweet..malts then a bit of bitter. Lace. Medium body and mouthfeel. Very drinkable. Thanks Georgina for bringing it back.

First of many thanks to my brother for bringing me this sample from it's country origin. Thanks John.

Web-site notes that it doesn't pasteurize their beer, instead they "micro-filter."
Aroma presents with light fresh somewhat hoppy, with a slightly caramel malt aspects presenting in time.
Darker amber with browns and reds. Clear. Full two-inch head the recedes to a thin layer but leaves nice lacing.
Very light overall flavor. Site notes a mix of pale and darker malts. The former provide the greater amount of flavor, with the latter offering a mild to moderate bittering quality on the finish and the fairly long lingering. As warms a slight richness from the darker malt is noted. Slightly sweet, but brief.
A little too close to watery for me, but nice soft carbonation that's balanced well. Extremely thirst quenching and nice mild crispness.
Flavor just lacks an umph I'd like to have. Other aspects of the beer are good. I'd just appreciate more flavor from the darker malt.
