33cl bottle--BBD of May '09. Pours hazy opaque brown with a fluffy off-white head that leaves nice lacing (3.5/4). Smells heavily of roasted malt and spices, along with some cocoa and dark fruit. Chocolaty, roasty flavor with some metallic notes. Bready. Not very phenolic at all. Sweet finish. Medium body with high effervescence. Slightly oxidized bottle, though it's in surprisingly good shape considering the age and gravity.
