New ale from Paul Dickey, in the English golden ale tradition I believe. Pint at The Only, I've also imbibed this at Volo.
A nince golden yellow color, lightly hazed. Thin ring of head on top, the odd stream of bubbles feeding it. Nose is clean, lint biscuit malt, grassy, a nice earthy character. Flavor is clean, biscuity malt with just a hint of butteriness and caramel, a nice earthy character, light lemon and citrus, hopping is balanced, giving a light dryness to the finish, old world style.
Nice light and clean body, perfect carb. Not as exciting as many North American weaned drinkers would want but a nice example of the style, bred for sessioning and versatility.
