This is my favorite beer spot locally right now. House of Beer has a SUPERB selection without the crowd like other hip and trendy taprooms like it have. Quiet and low key. There are so many beers I never know where to start. I often ask for recommendations from the bartenders who are always friendly and knowledgeable and never snobby or condescending. LOVE this place!

This is an unassuming place from the outside, but has a nice interior with a long bar that has stainless steel top. Pool tables which is always a welcome, digital jukebox music was at a comfortable level, and outside seating area. No food served.

Several beers on tap with a nice mix has a good bit of local Florida beers, nothing mind blowing on tap but very competent. Great bottle selection again nothing earth shattering but just a nice mix of what's distributed to Florida with some locals thrown in the mix. I must be jaded because I'm always expecting to walk in to these places and find something that just blows me away on tap. This place didn't have that.

Service was very good, although it was absolutely dead in there when I was there. The guy slinging beer was friendly and out going but not intrusive had a decent knowledge of what they had on tap and never let my beer glass get empty before asking if I wanted another.

Decent craft beer bar which is a welcome respite in an area seriously lacking in craft beer offerings. 48 taps and great bottle selection, notebooks on bar kept largely updated with descriptions to guide you to a selection. Draft selection is sometimes a little light on local (Florida, Southeastern) craft selections, but overall the selection is pretty good. Has a kind of industrial vibe with stainless bar, brick wall and polished concrete floor. Servers are really attentive and helpful. Best choice for craft beer in the Kissimmee area.

I really enjoy this place it never fails to have great collections of beers I favor. I love that it's pet friendly and the atmosphere is very laid back. I'm into a lot of lighter beers and House always comes through with my taste, as well as darker and 'hopier' brews.

I tried the House of Beer last night and the place is pretty swanky....a bit strip mally for my taste and doesnt have that traverny/bar feel. So the atmosphere is more personal preference. The quality is fine and service was helpful and knowledgable about the beers. The selection was great they had stuff from all over the US and many international beers. I thought the price was reasonable....$20 for three pints. Overall it was a good experience, I just prefer more character to a place than swank.

Whirlwind beer tour of Orlando as I was there on business, and found this place by recommendation of the bellhop.

The first thing I notice when I walk in are not the taps, but the man behind the counter, Charles. He opened this place and was very amiable (even after my friend spilled her wine all over him) and helpful with some of the beers I had not seen before. His recommendations were spot on for my palate, but he's French so it's what you would expect, right?

The beer list was an odd mix of styles, but I had no trouble finding 5 beers to do a flight, and my friend actually managed to find a completely different set of 5 to try (this is rare as we have similar tastes). After my flight, I asked Charles to recommend something and got a robust red ale that I really did love, and had never heard of.

The beers are affordable. The atmosphere is a little odd, dark and dreary in the middle of a fairly new boutiques and restaurants shopping plaza, but the people were friendly and the beer was great. They offer cigars as well, which is something you don't usually see in the craft beer world. Overall a great place, especially for beginners, since not too many beer dives in Orlando will do flights.

House of Beer is located in a small community in South Orlando called Hunters Creek. The bar sits in a strip with quite of few other bars and restsaurants as well. The bar has a clean modern feel to it with some of the classic brickhouse bar as well. The 2 guys that own the bar are always there, or at least one or the other. The drafts sit on the back wall. The tap wall is up to 48 I think now. Above is large mirror that expands fills in the rest of t he wall above the taps. Here they write all the new arrival and soon- to- comes. The selection on draft has great balance. From local to import light to dark and anywhere in between. Of course "no crap on tap." The bottle selection is awesome as well. Some large vintage stuff to seasonals and rare product. Love the place. It can get overwhelmed by the yahoo's in the neighborhood on the weekend. It will get a packed house. Which is good bc if you wantto party you can and if you want to chill you can go during the week and there will be less a crowd. They also do a 30% discount for take-out beers. Awesome place to stop in to grab good beer late night. They also allow you to bring your own stuff. Provided that you share. I enjoy House of Beer alot. Next thing they need to venture in to is cask beers.

Located in a modern strip style shopping area. Large L shaped bar with 48 taps along the short end (your back to the door is sitting there), and floor level coolers along the long side filled with bottles. A very good selection of beer, no food of any kind; you can bring it in! Knowledgable bar tender gace advice on beers, I would say good but not great selection, but certainly something for everyone, especially when you include the bottle collection, which was pretty extensive. In an area apparently lacking in craft beer locations, this is a beacon of beer. I just thought that for a hop head, draft selections were light, but if in the area, give it a try.

The House of Beers is a must go, and probably one of the best beer only bars I've been to in Orlando. The selection is outstanding, the taps are plentiful, and the atmosphere is truly for the beer lover.
Glassware is good, I hope it gets better, but this place will definately educate the layman.
Prices are great on some, and a little over priced on others.
There is a great selection of belgian and belgian style beers. I was very impressed with the French Biere De Garde beers on the menu!!!

I will make this my # 1 go-to beer bar from now on. Bravo House of Beer!!!

Later I will edit after beer is done with me :)

Still seeming to be a work in progress, this new beer in a shopping plaza that itself is under construction has the nuts and bolts in place. Two big TVs with satellite so you can watch a game if neither aren't taken, music at nights although not much space to enjoy it and a free dart board but no pool table. Plus, you can bring in your own food but that's because they don't have their own food. All this said, when it comes to friendly, knowledgeable service and a VERY VERY good/great selection (depending on what you're used to) then this is the place if you want a few good brews and to be able to relax. The bartenders, especially the one guy who I guess also has some ownership stake, not only was great to BS w/ about beer but had to be one of the nicest business owners/bar owners I've met period and I'll always come back here when I visit Orlando again just for that. Now, to the most important thing: the beer. Plenty of Cigar City which if you know anything about great beer/Florida brewing this brewery is about to become king. Also a myriad of stlyes from micros and imports in the bottle selection, and while no super hard Belgians/Germans to find you'll get your import fix on. Micros are varied and they rotate taps to get new stuff/seasonals in. A must see for any beer geek visiting Orlando.

My brother told me about this place and took me here while I was on a trip to Orlando. It was a very interesting place. A little different than the bars I'm used to in New Orleans. The beer selection was FANTASTIC though. They had about 46 on tap and 150 in bottles. You choose from a leather bound menu which was pretty cool. When we walked in there was a group of people playing poker(and drinking Bud Light) which I thought was a bit odd but hey, whatever brings the guy business. They have neat couch seating in one room and barstool seating at the bar. There were TVs on playing Monday Night Football and World Series. I didn't hear any music being played. The bartender was extremely friendly and made recommendations and poured our beers into proper glassware. The tap prices were pretty reasonable($5-$7) and the bottle prices were ok. My biggest issue was they served no food but I can't hold that against them. They provided free pizza that they purchased from next door and told us it was ok to bring food into the bar.

This was an interesting place. The atmosphere was very odd - it was like half beer bar and half club. They clearly cater to the club half at times, like with the upcoming Halloween party they are advertising, and with various DJ nights. That's not really my kind of thing, but let me tell you what is - the beer selection at this place. They have 48 taps and not one, not ONE, was wasted on junk. Closest thing to it were Guinness, Grolsch and Magic Hat 9, and those are all very forgivable. The rest was an impressive selection of local, national and imported brews. They had 2 Terrapins (Pumpkinfest and India Brown), 2 Cigar City (Maduro and Jai Alai), a couple other locals, Brooklyn Manhattan Project (haven't even seen this in PA yet and the menu indicated it was one of only 5 kegs in FL), St Bernardus Abt 12, and lots of other good stuff. Really impressive and, frankly, unexpected given the area.

Bottle selection had probably 150 equally interesting selections, and they were serving most everything in proper glassware. Service was quick and pretty helpful, and the menu was well put together and informative. I don't think I'd want to come here during a really busy time, as some of the rest of the patrons might annoy the shit out of me, but I think the beer would make up for it even then. Great place to find quality brew, and definitely a place I will visit again when in Orlando.

I usually end up at House of Beer because of the proximity to my apartment. So I figure it is time I make a review.

This is a new beer bar (opened beginning of July, I believe) that opened up in the Villages at Hunters Creek, and in my opinion, its about damn time!

The area is severely lacking when it comes to good beer bars...the most we can look forward to is Hammerhead's or Bar Louie. So this was a welcomed addition to South Orlando.

The atmosphere is nice, not too fancy, but far from a dive. It reminds me a little of a larger version of The Independent in Tampa, but without looking as industrial. Most people spend their time at the bar itself, but there are benches and tables available as well. There is no smoking inside, however there are some bistro tables outside when a smoke break is needed.

There are a lot of changes that the place is still going through with them being so new. I believe they started with around 125 bottles and are already up to over 150, with more on the way. They have 48 draughts running with a varying selection as well. As a keg pops, it is usually replaced with a different product (save for a few).

Unlike places like (gag) Orlando Ale House, they are quick to pour a beer into the appropriate (or requested) glassware, which to me is a big plus. The staff is friendly (and quite amusing by the end of the night) and there are a few stand-outs when it comes to beer knowledge.

There is no food offered here, but they do carry menus from the local restaurants and have no qualms about anyone ordering/bringing food in. *share with the staff and you'll score some brownie points*

The owners are always around and constantly chat up the customers. Also, since they are so new, they are constantly asking customers what they would like to see sold/served.

Most people will comment on the price of the beers (avg: $5-8 per glass and $15-22 for a 750mL). While for the Orlando Metro Area this is relatively pricey, you have to take into effect what area we are in. South Orlando typically can fetch a little bit higher prices for their beers (simply between higher-incomes and tourist traffic). But I think the prices are far from outrageous.
*Happy hour prices ($3.50 for their lesser-priced beers) and 2-for-1 specials are common.

It is hard to give it a completely fair review at the moment as things are changing from week to week, but I think if you are in the area it is a great place to hang out...particularly for locals. I look forward to watching this place grow over the next few years, as they already have a steady customer base.
