The things you really value are the things you can’t replace. Since the pioneering days of the 1930’s, DB Draught has quenched the thirst of Kiwi Blokes with the real flavour and great taste of New Zealand’s Original Draught Beer. DB Draught has a crystal-clear, copper gold colour, with a malty and slightly nutty flavour to balance the mild, aromatic hop aromas and clean bitterness. The beer is very smooth with a long finish and hints of caramel flavours in the aftertaste.

Was one of the better draughts in NZ but definitely no Tui or Montieths for me.

Woohoo! Another NZ "brown" beer! Copper brown with a fizzy, off-white head. Cardboard all over the nose with corn flakes and light gunmetal (awesome!). Taste is sweetish, cardboardy, doughy cereal malts. Faintly astringent hops (?). Not good. Fizzy, light, forgettable. I can't understand how Kiwis can drink this.

Not so pale in the glass , it was a deep mahaogany .With an elevated pour the head developed and stayed for a litle while.
The smell is dull , bordering on unpleasant being metallic and watery.
The taste starts off the same as the smell and the taste buds start to think "crap" but a sweet maltiness intercedes and rescues this beer . There is no hops that I could find.
couldnt imagine drinking a lot of this because of the sweetness but it has a hell of a lot more character than some of its trans Tasman rivals

Drinking a bottle that a friend left behind in the fridge. This beer is decideldly average, nothing really exciting going on other than its own omnipresent advertising. Some beer critics have claimed that there is such a thing as a "NZ Draught style" of which I would imagine this would be some kind of pinacle. DB Draught is a decidedly weak tasting ale, not the worst thing i've ever had but hundreds of miles away from the best.

I just had a friend bring back a can of this stuff. I thought it had plenty of flavor. Not very hoppy but plenty of malt flavor. Good flavor but very average. Not the type of thing to seek out. Nice golden brown color. A good lunchtime beer. not very fresh tasting. NZ bud?

Quite watery texture and flavour, mildy hoppy right at the end, but very light. I only had a sample of this (half a bottle), but i really couldn't see myself sitting down drinking a whole bottle, i'd be bored out of my mind, not much flavour, but pretty cheap price, easy drinking.
