Drinkable but while somewhat pleasing it feels off from a Hefeweizen with the predominant sour and fruity notes of Cervesa Artesana.

Presentation: 33 cl brown capped bottle. Somewhat elaborate label in green and dark colors where the silhouette of a howling wolf sits against an exaggerated full moon. Side notes main characteristics, intent, and ingredients alongside local and organic certificates. Notes best by date 10/10/12, and 4.3% Alc. by Vol. Served in a Weisse glass.

A - Hazy light gold with a rich frothy head, good retention, fair surface memory with good touches of lacing. By far the looks are the best of this brew.

S - Fresh and light fruity sourness… Touches of citric hops… Hefeweizen notes where?

T - Soft bitter sourness follows with citric hints, faint malty undertones… Small wheaty sense. No trace of German yeast and its associated notes… Hops are Hallertau so some of the sense might be there but...

M - Light body, with medium-high carbonation, rather tingly with a fair finish...

O - It´s OK but nothing to be remembered for...

Notes: Again a worthy try but still a long way from making a dent at the style or a notable brew. Common and characteristic fruity-sour sense of Cervesa Artesana´s permeates the brew, which is decent but still...

Very impressive beer from this small organic brewery.

Poured a hazy copper with a giant white head and no lasting lacing, just like any proper hefeweizen. THe smell is of a great hop bouquet, floral and sweet with citrus in the background and the essence of yeast (and not overbearing like some in the style). The taste is of wheaty cereal and the hop profile carries over from the nose. There's also a hint of clove and pepperiness on the taste rounding it out and making it nicely complex. The mouthfeel is percet with a crisp spiciness, yet also just bitter enough to draw the glass to the mouth again. It's very refreshing and I would love to have this as my standard hefeweizen.
