A - Dark brown-black, mild translucence. Light tan head fades to a rim, which persists.
S - Roast malt, chocolate hints, sugars.
T - A bright, slightly acidic coffee and chocolate highlights, a more bitter middle, but a spike of fruity sweetness in the close. The close reminds me of cherries, with a hint of nuttiness, which is both surprising and delicious.
M - Definite spiky carbonation, a fairly quick and quiet close. Feels a touch light on the tongue.
O - The taste is solid, and it is pretty darn drinkable. A bit more depth and this would be a truly excellent brew.
