A - Dark opaque, almost solid black, with only a slight show of light through the edge, showing a brown-red highlight. Big head reduces quickly, light tan, with significant lacing.
S - Mostly grains and roasted malts, chocolate hints. Pretty closed, though.
T - The roasted malt flavor is big and fat, with a hint of oat, closing with some grassy hop notes and sweetness. Chocolate nib is a subtle counterpoint.
M - Oats give a fuller, slick feel, but the beer is still fairly light and does not linger.
O - Not exactly the thundering tank of flavor suggested by the name and art, but a pleasant brew that is tasty and satisfying.
